Welcome to Janemark Winery & Vineyard. Owned by husband and wife, Jane and Mark, we are a family-owned winery and vineyard nestled in Southern Prince Georges County, Maryland. Our journey began in 1877 when Jane's great-great-grandparents first cultivated this land as a thriving tobacco farm. Today, we proudly carry forward our family’s legacy by producing handcrafted wines that reflect the rich history and fertile soil of our cherished estate. With a deep respect for agriculture and a passion for winemaking, we invite you to experience the fruits of our labor, lovingly crafted from vine to bottle on our centuries-old farm.
Jane and Mark Vogt, the husband and wife founders of Janemark Winery & Vineyard, have always shared a deep love for wine. Married in 1986, their journey began in Maryland, where they both grew up. A week after their wedding, they moved to Napa, California, immersing themselves in the heart of wine country. It was there that their passion for winemaking truly blossomed. Years later, they returned to Maryland to be closer to family, to start one of their own, and brought their love of Napa Valley wine country to the East Coast. Committed to sustainability, Janemark has successfully transformed fields that once grew tobacco into fields that produce some of the best grapes and wines that Maryland has to offer.
JANE & MARK
Jane & Mark began planting vines at Foxes Den Vineyard, located on the property with the family's home, in Spring 2013. The name, “Foxes Den,” was passed down many generations from Jane’s family who acquired the property in 1877.
Today, this vineyard is home to our Albariño, Vidal, and Chambourcin. In Spring 2014, Jane & Mark expanded and planted more vines at Four Degrees Vineyard, where our tasting barn is located. Four Degrees is home to our Barbera, Petit Manseng, Albariño, and more to come.

TRAIL RIDES
Join Foxfire Farm for a very unique experience. We begin with a guided, 45-minute horseback ride through our regenerative farm. Learn how we keep horses sustainably through rotational mob grazing and multi-species stacking, using other animals in symbiosis with the horses to massage the land, sequester carbon, build the soil, and produce clean food.
Come enjoy nature and the company of our wonderful horses. Upon finishing our ride, we head next door to Janemark Winery for a tasting of some phenomenal local wines. Price includes ticket for wine tasting at Janemark Winery.

BEFORE YOU VISIT...
All seating has been arranged and we ask that guests refrain from moving any tables or chairs.
Seating is on a first come, first served basis. For groups larger than six, please contact Jane at 301-535-9126 or info@janemarkwinery.com to make your reservation.
SEATING
We have local charcuterie, artisan cheeses and other snacks available for sale. We do not allow outside food in the tasting room. If you wish to bring a picnic you may enjoy it on the covered porch or use one of our picnic tables on the grass area.
FOOD
You may NOT decorate your table for a celebration, including balloons, tablecloth, candles, confetti, glitter, streamers, flowers, gift bags, party favors, gifts, etc.
DECORATIONS
We require prior notice to accommodate tour buses, vans and limousines as our parking area fills up quickly.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
NO outside alcohol is permitted per Maryland state law. Violators will be asked to leave immediately if found with outside alcohol. Personal coolers are permitted and we reserve the right to inspect coolers and insulated cups. Large coolers are not permitted.
NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PERMITTED
The entire property is non smoking. We appreciate your cooperation.
SMOKING POLICY
We welcome well behaved dogs. All pets must have a leash on at all times and under adult supervision. We kindly request that you clean up after your pet promptly. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping pets out of our vineyard and landscaping.
DOG POLICY
We welcome and we ask that an adult be with your child(ren) at all times for their safety and the comfort of other guests. If you do not stay with your child(ren) you may be asked to leave.
CHILDREN POLICY
For the comfort of all of our guests sporting equipment is prohibited. This includes, but not limited to, balls, frisbees, corn hole boards, and soccer nets.
SPORTING EQUIPMENT
Due to insurance compliance, “pop-up” shade structures, including umbrellas, are not permitted. If you wish to bring your own chairs they must remain on the grass area and not on the covered porch.
POP-UP TENTS & PERSONAL CHAIRS
We ask that you not enter our vineyard at any time. You may stand on the outside of the vineyard to take photos but please do not enter the rows. If you wish to use the property for professional photos, please contact Jane at
